BPA member using IPC

Hi all,
Please help.
My case is a little different to normal as I am against liars from the outset. I was parked on an unsigned un lined road with a Public street sign (not causing any obstruction).
I was visiting a building to take an exam.
There was no parking ticket on my windscreen when I returned to the vehicle, so I had no reason to query with the building staff or take pictures of the road/parking.
I received a letter dated 35 days after the alleged parking infraction, but received 40 days after stating I had ignored a parking windscreen notice.
I've read through all the Newbie post and posted the template response.
The company has rejected the appeal and given me a chance to appeal to IAS/IPS. On the reading of the forum this is described as a Kangaroo court, but if necessary I could appeal to it but will lose.
My question is, the Company sending the "invoices" have BPA membership icon at the bottom of their letters, so would I be better in asking to be referred to POPLA due to the 100% chance of winning.
Any thoughts? Is this possible?
Please help.

What company?Je suis Charlie.0

I would say no , not possible
if they are IPC members, they will use the IAS for ADR (not popla)0 -
Which company?
The unscrupulous behaviour you have described above doesn't narrow it down at all!Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Careful - there are two sorts of BPA membership. I think it is "corporate" and "Approved Operator Scheme'. Something like that anyway.
Now I can't remember where I read this - but I would check with the BPA first. They may be 1. (giving them the right to use the logo) and 2. Using the IAS Kangaroo court.
They won't lie about who their members are.0 -

Bang on the money. It is possible to be a BPS member without being an BPA AOS member which requires POPLA. For instance, I believe Excel are still BPA members, but they the AOS they follow is the IPC's.0 -
Thanks for the quick responses.
The company is UKCPS ltd.
I will check with the BPA.
This lot have now put signs up on this site, but they were definitely not there when I parked. I think this is the reason they didn't issue a ticket, they are 100% lying about this. If I'd have had the ticket I could have taken pictures of no signage. Now they've put them up I can't take pictures.
I know the signs are new because when I rang the firm I visited, they said the signs are at the entrance to the site and not at the piece of road I parked on.
Any thoughts on this?0 -

My response from the BPA was as some posters suggested.
I can confirm UKCPS Ltd are a BPA member but not an operator under the Approved Operator Scheme (AOS). The AOS is the scheme which deals with the issuing of parking charge notices. As they are not an operator under the AOS we are unable to assist you.
However, I believe they are part of the Independent Parking Committee's AOS which is the other accredited trade association. We would advise you contact the IPC for assistance or to make a complaint. I have provided their details below for your convenience:
Telephone: 01565 655 467
E-mail:
I cannot post links to street map, but the post code is WF1 2UY. Parking was on what "the driver" believed to be a street, not in anyones car park. There was no signage. The issue here is that UKCPS are falsely trying to claim a ticket was issued, but "the driver" can confirm this was definitely not the case, otherwise photos would have been taken at the time of no signage. The driver believes they have put signage up since this.
My main question to people here is, do I still appeal to the IPC?0 -
