There's never any shortage of people on here intent on trying it on.
Not fit for purpose. You're having a laugh.
Just because it did not have a sticker guaranteeing that it would not give you backache. Does not make it unfit for purpose.

I am just trying to get some advice, as I am not a consumer expert or anything.
The back problem has coincided with the purchase of the sofa.
They also stated that I should pat down the cushions every few days as they sink in, I actually do that everyday but the sofa has still sunk in.
It seems like I am stuck with it so I will just sell it on ebay and get something else.

Have you tried altering your seating position with a pillow or cushion?

    Yes i have
    Thanks
  • Was this by chance the Tetris sofa ?

We have had exactly the same issue with the TETRIS sofa

We tried the sofa in store but now that we have had it delivered, if you we sit in it for more than 45 mins it causes quite severe back/neck pain.

This is the same for all three members of the family.

Comments about people "trying it on" about not being fit for purpose, if someone spoend £2500 on a sofa then they expect to be able to sit in it with a reasonable level of comfort and not end up in pain ! Pain which was never there in any of the family members before the new sofa.

It's irrelevant even if the sofa is the sole cause of the pain. It's not a faulty or badly designed sofa on this basis... it's just not the most suited to your body shape! If i were the dfs branch manager I'd be looking for creative and interesting ways to tell you to jog on.
