A belated happy birthday to Butterflybrain - hope your day was good.

We had a lovely visit to Inveraray Castle. my cousin must have read every single word on every single information card so I retreated early to the tearoom.

Everyone had fish and chips on the way home so now replete and tired.

Not cold enough for the woodburner today, first time this year!

  • Hope you're having a good day Butterfly Brain - belated Happy Birthday!

Gers - I was thinking of Inveraray this morning when I put on a fleece lined duffel cardigan to go shopping - I bought it last Easter in the Mill Shop there! It was a lovely day with a bright blue sky and warm sunshine.

    Happy Birthday BB :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:

Have been hoovering our bedroom and remade the superking bed (nearly fell in the duvet cover ;) ) Rearranged pillows and bedside cabinets etc so DH can be on the other side of the bed further from the tv.

Looks like an early night watching the debates as DH slept really badly last night so want him to be comfortable.

Can't believe the wedding blessing is next weekend - still need to buy the dress - not as  as it sounds as I have narrowed down ones I like and know where to get them I hope. I do have shoes and a jacket :o

    Hugs to all

It was the same kind of day today, although with a wee nip in the wind too! I only bought some 'Whizz' in the sweetie shop.

Happy Birthday Butterfly Brain, sorry it's late. Hope you have had a wonderful day.

I'm on holiday at last, now worried about a wee boy at school who arrived today (late and we met him when we were on our way to the church service). He is 7 and had to cross a couple of busy roads. He had a grubby pair of school trousers on, a t-shirt and some trainers and he was frozen. When we got back to school I found him a school t-shirt and jumper and some socks. Poor little mite now has to cope with 2 weeks off. I hope he is ok.

Just trying to tidy up and pack a bag for the weekend, I always want to take everything! Not knowing how long I will be away is a problem, might just take another bag of clothes and leave it in the car just in case.

    Night all. XX
  • Well I am back and feel well and truly stuffed :D

Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes xxxxxxxx

Dh is so thoughtful, he bought me a bread making measuring dish set, because he said I can't see the scales anymore and it will make things simpler for me. It has a bowl that takes 500g of flour one that takes 350ml water and a double ended spoon for salt and oil or butter, it will make baking bread a breeze, he also bought me a bracelet and a tortilla press, dd bought me arrow season 2, the box set of tintin and a Groot key chain
and ds bought me a plant and cook book.
Outlaws bought me the new James Wong book :D

Lovely to see you posting Hester, what a shambles about your eyes, I hope it wasn't vanguard who did it because they are a disaster!
    Get well soon xx
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
