Storing photos online

Options
I just tried Flickr but gave up and deleted the account after it took half an hour to upload just 30 photos.

I have around 3,000 I want to store online.

I don't want to use Google cos I sell some of my photos and I don't like their intrusiveness.

Any recommendations?

But was that due to Flickr, or your internet connection speed?

Dropbox is good to use however storage is limited unless you download it to your phone as well as desktop/laptop.

I don't really agree with your comment about Google but it's personal preference and that's fine.
If you have an Amazon Prime account then they provide free, unlimited photo storage.

I use Photobucket but i really wouldnt recommend it. Theres far too many ads for my liking. I started backing up on Google too.... just in case Photobucket failed.

You can have a look at Irista, it's run by Canon. Only a small 15Gb for free use but, the monthly/yearly subs may be worth it for the extras, if you sell your pictures.
They have a handy desktop app that will auto upload and update whatever folder you point it at for your photo's.
A free account now comes with 15GB of storage and access to all the irista tools. If you need more storage, you can get a Value subscription with up to 200GB for £4.49 per month or £45 for a full year. Alternatively, a Premium subscription with up to 500GB storage will cost £9.99 per month or £99 for a year.
It is possible to buy extra storage on top of this at £35 per year per 100GB, £65 per year per 500GB or £99 per year per 1TB.
You can try irista out by signing up for a free account at https://www.irista.com/

what's your upload speed on your line? And what size typically are your pictures? highly relevant for what you're trying to do...

I use MEGA (now New Zealand based after the US closed down their service there). They give 50GB on their free service. I keep a backup of my photographs there, figuring the chance of my local backup and MEGA becoming unavailable simultaneously are slim enough not to be a great concern.
Upload speed is of course an issue, but I just kick off a batch of folders to upload and leave the computer to it overnight - having made sure the computer won't sleep in the meantime!
