Sainsbury or M&S credit card?

I am looking for a long 0% period card soon, ideally with reward so have narrowed it down to these two based on buying petrol at Sainsbury and using M&S over the Christmas period.
I have a tesco and capital one rewards card but I understand capital one will stop cashback soon so the card is of no use after that point.
I need a reasonable limit, are either known to be particularly stingy or hard to get? I have a clean credit history, pay the monthly statement in full etc. if that helps.
Also would it be beneficial to close my capital one card before applying? It has a low limit.

Is the Santander 123 card no good? Offers 23 months purchases at 0% instead of the 19 you’d get with M&S/Sainsbury’s. The £24 fee could be negated assuming you spend over £300 per month on petrol/trains as you’d make £9 per month x 12 = £108 less £24 = £84 overall. I have one and they gave me a generous limit.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. Santander gave me a 1,400 limit which is perfect for my normal spending. M&S is underwritten by HSBC I believe? known to be tight but gave me 3,000.0

I recently got approved for a Santander 123 card and was given £10,400! Couldn't believe it, especially as I have no other credit cards. I do have a 123 current account though if that was an influence.0

Thanks for the replies.
I don't spend that much on petrol, possibly half at best. The reason I was thinking the Sainsbury Nectar was for doubling up the points earned for things like clothes for the kids, or M&S points as we usually by a few bits around Christmas time from there.
It's furniture that I want to put on the card, I imagine 19 months would be fine for payment but need minimum around £2500 limit. There is the option of interest free credit but I'd rather pay off quicker and make use of the cashback.
I didn't realise M&S were underwritten by HSBC, I wonder who Sainsbury Nectar is underwritten by?0 -

Sainsbury's Bank was originally operated in conjunction with the Bank of Scotland but it's been a wholly owned subsidiary of Sainsbury's since 2014.
At the moment the Nectar Purchase Credit Card has 0% for 19 months and in addition to the 2 points per £1 you also get 2 points per £1 you spend in-store at Sainsbury's (and 1 Nectar point per £5 spent elsewhere).
From April 11th £1 = 1 Nectar Point but from what I've gathered you'd get 3 Nectar Points using the credit card. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
M&S are pretty good, I also like Santander. Just think sainsburys are a bit of a con with their points.0
