We've been caught up in the Oriana chaos - basically we were due to start a 4 day cruise today but as the ship was unable to dock, it's now a 3 day cruise starting tomorrow.
P&O have looked after us brilliantly - they initially thought departure would be slightly delayed so gave us £30 each on board spend but when they decided to start it tomorrow, they're paying our hotel bill for tonight and giving us a 50% refund.
Well done P&O - customer service at its best :j:j:j:j

Well Done P&O - they were brilliant with us a few years ago when a major crash in France and total road closure for 6 hours - whilst we were on it stuck , they had to repair the road before we could get off as the accident was just before the next junction
this meant we missed the Zebrugge- Hull crossing back - we had rung and they were aware of the problems, as lots of people had run and were waiting as long as they could as lots were caught up in it- but it had to go (not their fault), as the kids were tired we drove back to France to catch either the tunnel or the ferry crossings back from Dover and saw their office at the ferry terminal, -
I asked for the first available tix and explained we were all tired and just wanted to get back to England - when she asked why we were tired we explained the fuss of the day - she asked if we had our tix (yes in my handbag). ... and proceeded to print our tix for the ferry - at NO COST... This was completely unexpected, as it was not P&O Ferry at Dover fault and that we had missed our boat in Zebrugge -
we wrote a letter to their head office when we got back, as it was a lovely action and excellent customer service,0 -
I hope you don't get caught up in the vomiting virus syndrome and all the toilets get blocked up.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

You can get Norovirus any where, not just on P&O cruise ships!Early retired - 18th December 2014

True, but it usually ends up on P&O cruise ships.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

That's quite an allegation, can you back it up?0 -
well we're back from the trip and had a brillant time.
And looking at the size of the dent in the ship you can understand why they delayed the departure!0 -

if that's the case then its only because people don't wash their hands when they enter the restaurants with the anti-bacterial gel or refuse to stay in their cabin when they're obviously ill0 -

Yawn... Okay, just to amuse your pernickety mind:

A cruise firm is being taken to court for the fourth consecutive year by passengers struck down by a vomiting bug on one of its ships.

As I said passengers could do alot to help themselves if only they stayed in their cabins when ill and used the gel as requested.
You've obviously got a thing about P&O ....but I prefer to speak as I find0
