Sports direct - bad experience anyone?

Options
Terrible quality boots purchased and the studs fall out after very short amount of usage. (Less than an hour) I asked for a refund in store and this was refused as they said they weren't faulty. There were loads of similar experiences on reviews on Amazon but when I emailed there head office to complain and say there was a known issue and suddenly the reviews all disappeared.

On previous occasion had heard till staff saying that even if an item fell apart it could not be returned to store.

Anyone had any similar experience at sports direct, I was offered exchange for another pair which is pointless as the same things going on happen again. or a credit but I want to buy elsewhere and to be honest never plan to shop in there again.

Get an exchange. Then later take them unused back for a refund?
Unless they don't give refunds at all?

Oh I don't know, although I expect not to be honest. Will check. I'm so cross with them as they are obviously faulty, it's a matter of principle.

Nope, you're the first person to ever have any issues with them.
The countless threads in this very forum complaining about their utter contempt for customers are simply a mirage.

That's what I was thinking, maybe they will delete these threads too to remove negative reviews!

That's what I expected and that's fine for unwanted purchases but not faulty ones.

Has anyone else seen disappearing negative reviews on things like amazon.

I bought a rucsack from them which fell apart after about a week (stupidly, I thought Karrimor was a good make :rotfl:). The seams had been stitched too close to the edge, so it was obviously faulty. They would only offer to replace it with another one of the same item. I accepted it, but it fell apart a week later!

    I've never been back there....

That's exactly why I'm not accepting a replacement.

I'd be really grateful for other experiences so I have evidence of this practice from sports direct. My particular item was the kid sondico flair football boot but if like to hear of similar experiences to give to trading standards.

SD asked me to send them back at my own cost then returned they to me, they are not faulty I hadn't tightened them properly. It was he first wear!!!

I'm so cross, what can I do. This company continues to rip people off time after time after time and trading standards do nothing.

Any ideas as people power is required

Your problem is with football boot studs.......... loose.
As a golfer, EVERY pair of golf shoes I have ever bought ( market leader Footjoy included) has had the warning to tighten studs/ cleats before use.
Did it have a warning on the box?
