Parking Eye fake fine again.....

Hi Everyone. The Missus has done it again and overstayed in a Parking Eye carpark whilst shopping (NEXT sale got her all excited
). Parking eye have sent the false fine to her. Just wondering what the state of play is now with the whole Beavis v Parking eye case and where does that leave us on fighting this?? With help from people on here previously we managed to get POPLA to cancel the charge back in June, which I again thank you for!
Thanks in advance

No significant change yet,From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
So just follow what i did last time and get POPLA code etc etc?0
-
Although what i do find odd on the fake fine is that it states 'that maximum free stay authorised is 0 hours 0 minutes' even though it's a free carpark??0

Just another point to shoot them down with ... invalid notice to keeper so keeper liability per POFA cannot be applied.0

correct , the maximum free time is the time as stated on there signs , however as you did not enter your reg No , the authorized time is 0 hours 0 minutes'0 -
But there is nothing on site to enter registration number into as it's a free carpark for 2 hours0

there would have been a terminal on the carpark OR a note on the signs saying that terminals were situated in "xx" shops , and they had to enter there reg number.
are you close enough to check the signage out?
however if it does say free parking for "x" hrs , and you have overstayed this time you are guilty as charged , the time thing on the invoice may be a typo
how long did you stay for (as per photo entering and photo leaving) and what was the max time shown on the signage?0 -
If you/wifey has already gone through all this sh/te before, I'm surprised wifey has fallen foul of this once again.
Steer clear (tell her) of any retailer that employs PE (or any parking parasite) and write to the retailer(s) telling them exactly why you, your family and any friends you can persuade will never patronise their store(s) as long they allow 3rd party parking companies to harass their customers.
Seems this to be a much easier task than NtK, initial appeal, POPLA appeal (probably all requiring volunteer forum support to get you through it), with, in the case of PE, the chance this might end up in court.
Need for some wiseing up methinks! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

What makes you think that? PE infest ALDI car parks but you don't have to enter your reg number anywhere. And at retail parks it would be very unusual to HAVE to do so.
In fact the only time I've seen this in PE car parks is in hotels (where patrons enter their reg at reception) or in P&D car parks. (I'm aware that there will be such instances of what you describe, but it is not so common and I doubt this is what OP encountered - merely an overstay of the free period).0
