guys I recently had accident other party's fault, my car war written off cat b , insurance company said there was outstanding finance when I spoke she said also if the finance was on someone else's name that that wouldn't affect me , had email today from solicitor asking me to do hpi check, did it saying no finance on car…

A pal of mine was similarly involved in a no-fault claim, where his insurer initially refused to pay because of "an outstanding finance marker". After lots of panic, tracing earlier owners etc. the mysterious marker evaporated when the insurer was pressed further. Just the usual delaying tactics so commonly used, for no real reason.
