Debt recovery plus

The directors of my apartments decided last year to introduce parking control as we had third parties parking in our development. Capital Car Park Control. I have a parking permit but I fail to put it on my car as my father who is terminal ill was very sick at the time. I can get doctors evidence of this. I got a parking ticket and I spoke with someone on phone and as I own a apartment and after explaining I had a permit I thought that would be the end of it. This control was not introduce to be a problem for the owners of the apartments which it is starting to be for me! I pay over £200 a month for the upkeep of the grounds, including parking area and I really don't think I should have to pay this ticket. Debt recovery plus have now sent me a demand for payment, I spoke them and I said I did not intend to pay. They said they would take me to court. I offered me a discount and said it would impact my credit rating. My credit rating is excellent, I have a mortgage already, but should I be worried? The car is registered in Northern Ireland so they demands are going to my Northern Ireland address, the parking ticket was issued in England, not sure if this makes a difference.

1. DR+ cannot take you to court but by using threats that they can they hope you will pay up. If the operator takes you to court then they loose their commision.
2. If you own the apartmemnt and a parking space you can withdraw from the permit scheme and inform Capital and the managing agents that should they enter your parking space and isue your car with a ticket then you may take them to court for trespass.
3. As its N.Ireland you could ignore as they can only purseue the driver though youve probably outed yourself as the driver when speakinfg to DR+. Never call a debt collector!!!
This wont go near a court so dont be intimidated by their threats0 -
What does your lease say about parking spaces for your flats?

I've just been reading up on DVLA selling personal details onto private parking firms (which is all legal and above board by some magical loophole). Can the private company then legally pass on personal data to Debt Collector agencies?
Is there a clause in DVLA releasing the private info in the first place.99.9% of my posts include sarcasm!Touch my bum :money:Tesco - £1000 , Carpet - £20, Barclaycard - £50, HSBC - £50 + Car - £1700SAVED =£0Debts - £28500 -
