I win IAS appeal against UKcps owned park

Just to let any newbies who look, know, and to say thanks to all who guided me on the right path.

including HERZLOS, IAINSCOMPUTER, UMKOMAAS, MARKTHESHARK, THE DEEP, REDX et al

It seems you can win at IAS, as indeed others have. I did however go full on for it and from different angles.

Plenty of pic's showing dodgy siting of signs and lack of lighting. Emphasis on GPEOL and citing historical cases (Dunlop). Mention of original ticket folded up so small and pasted over old tax disc holder (indicates unlawfulness?). Carbon copy print to same illegible, except for car colour which they had wrong. Standard letter of course. Pointing out my 1st stage appeal wasn't received - had to do another. ETC, ETC.

My thinking was, if I go to IAS with a comprehensive and factual salvo they'd rethink their options in court, PARTICULARLY on behalf of their "client". I personally don't think they would have won.

To Newbies thinking of fighting your corner, go for it, but gen up, and gird yer loins. There is no quick fix, but ALL the stuff you need is on here.

By the way, my real name isn't Barold, it's Charles....

or do a username search on "Barold". Those weighing up their options as to whether to take on a parking charge, will need to be adept at sorting out the advisory wheat from the chaff, however well intended. Also be prepared for those (in a minority) whom can be a tad !!!!y with their "advice".

    Nontheless good luck, Barold.

Unfortunately the IPC guarantees its members that 80% of IAS appeals will be refused, so anyone who is in that 80% will be SOL however brilliant an appeal they write. Conversely, a lucky 20% must win in order to keep the DVLA happy.

So it's a lottery which you have an 80% chance of losing.

The specific content would actually be useful, as it allow us to see what has worked and if someone else appeals based on the same if that is denied or upheld.

I wonder what they'd say if you asked them why they upheld it?
