Debt paid but only Equifax have taken note

Hi

In March 2014,
I now know, NATIONWIDE sold the overdraft balance on my Current Account to PRA

In June 2014
I paid that debt, (plus "Costs"), off

In January 2015
PRA wrote to me asking me to pay all or part of the Current Account Debt off

In March 2015 NATIONWIDE and PRA both have no record of the Debt being paid off but EQUIFAX show two listings
1.
From NATIONWIDE: shows debt SETTLED
2
From PRA shows debt still owing

Who did you pay to clear the debt?

Do you still have proof of payment?

Just send the proof of payment to all who are asking for money.

    Who did you pay?

You need to complain, in writing.

    Who are PRA?

PRA settled the nationwide debt when they bought the debt. The nationwide settlement date should be about the time of the debt sale.

Actually I'm not sure this is right. There should only be one entry for the debt - if Nationwide sold the debt then their entry is superseded by PRAs. Otherwise you have two entries for one credit product. The fact that Nationwide has sold the debt on does not mean you have a new agreement - it is the rights that Nationwide have sold on.

Can have 2 If debt says assigned.

Only looks like one account when your file is searched.

This is useful, as it shows account history before debt sold, which used to be wiped.
