ASDA Furniture delivery service - ABYSMAL

A warning to anyone ordering items from ASDA George for delivery. If you want it by a certain date or the date that Asda tell you its going to arrive - BEWARE.
I ordered some furniture and received a confirmed delivery date from Asda for 26/03/15.
On the morning of the 26th I received a text from their carrier stating the wardrobe would not be delivered on the 26th. This was as I was just completing the 70 mile round trip planned to assemble the furniture.
I then spent 1 hour explaining to their customer services team the problem and holding while they obtained details from their delivery team.
Late in the afternoon I received a call from an Asda direct manager apologising and advising that he had put the wardrobe on a special delivery to arrive before 10am on 27th.
I again made special arrangements for someone to attend the property to receive the goods and assemble.
On the morning of the 27th I received a voice mail from someone stating that the delivery I was expecting would not be happening as the delivery company hadn’t received the good from Asda.
Hence yet again I had to call their customer services team for an explanation. They confirmed that the delivery wasn’t going to be made and could not provide a revised date.
I requested a manager call me to discuss this further – I am still awaiting this call.

So here we are with no idea when the missing wardrobe will be delivered - despite having confirmed delivery dates from Asda when I placed the order, and emails confirming it had been dispatched.
Due to the non delivery of the wardrobe I have had to pay someone to go and buy a temporary one from Argos and assemble it. Be warned.
