Glad to hear you've found a new canine companion or two, HB.

They haven't arrived yet, so there is a possibility that it might fall through but hearing their backstory that seems unlikely. Fingers crossed, but if it isn't them, it will another dog that needs fostering at some point because apparently the Oldies Club have a waiting list for dogs needing to come into their care. (I've been a bit breed specific.)

I have been given clues, had an Easter Egg hunt and found my treasure. It's a handmade one, so I'm going to save it until Mr Bear gets home tomorrow before cracking it open. (He's got a stash of handmade chox to come home to, so it's all fair.)

A pleasure, Jazee. I, too, have been doing gardening things with seedlings and the like, but the big planting will have to wait until I've got no more washing on thte lines below the sundeck. At present there are five loads out there, all sunning themselves, and I've got another load ready to wash when there's space to put it out. I was lucky enough to get one of the MSE offers of fruit trees and berry shrubs from Park but we haven't decided where they're going yet. I want to fling out all the scruffy stuff that has been snagging me as I walk past it for years, OH likes it looking like that. We will 'negotiate.'

I've planted grass seed where Mrs Dog made her mark and under the sunflower seed feeder where the pigeons have made theirs. I'm trying something new on the bald patches which might mean they don't get quite so big or last quite so long. We'll see.

Both fridges are getting a right seeing-to. I've been desperate to get to them and now that we're lodger-less for a couple of days and no Mr Bear to keep squawking about where everything is, I can crack on.

I'm also cutting out this (page down a bit to the polka dot dress) from the Great British Sewing Bee for a 1950s style steam train ride for a friend's 65th birthday party tea. I know that what he's aiming for is elegance, so I hope he likes it. The fabric isn't vintage style, but the pattern is, and with Mary Janes it might look just the ticket. (See what I did there?)
    Better is good enough.

Same as Lynne said from me too - being lazy, sorry!

Spent two hours on my hands and knees clearing out the drain across the driveway this morning so DH can jet wash tomorrow without it flooding. A whole ( old) washing up bowl piled high with soil. leaves, worms, and more than 100 sycamore seedlings -yes I counted them! Problem is that only about 6 inches of the metal cover will come off so I had to push the stuff along to one end! Looks much better now!!!

We then went for a walk to the prom - couldn't see much due to a sea fret - and then home via the local!!

Catch up tomorrow when I'm off for an extra c shop shift.

Evening all. Just on here while waiting for dinner to cook. I hate it when I'm still preparing food this late in the day...and there's still the washing up to be done...

Anyway, Frodders and Ionafan, when you see me next week, can you check that I haven't got MUG written across my forehead please. I can't see it myself but it must be there because not only did my boss turn down that job offer for me without checking first, DH has volunteered me for a project which will involve a 400 mile round trip too, again without asking. Oh and it is hard work and will use one of my precious days off.

Also, think I've got a bit far with the decluttering, can't find a book which is a first edition signed.

I promise not to moan on next week's thread.

    Fuming...me?

See you all on the next thread.

    (((Hugs))) Jazee.

Still cutting out here. The woman who owns the sewing shop has lent me the pattern so I can't really make marks on it. There are darts, I'm lengthening it by 7", adjusting the shoulder seams and I'm a size 14 which the pattern says it is, but size 14 now is bigger than it was then (1952). So, alterations at the cutting out stage and I haven't done resizing before. *bites nails*

Where has the day gone? Had my Mum and Sis and DS1's GF for lunch. House is quite tidy, WM1 done, dried and ironed. DH did the washing up even with his dodgy leg (he hates making conversation).

We are all very tired this evening.

I'll do the list and set the WM and call it a day I think. I want to make an early start tomorrow of paperwork, bit of gardening and a good bit of time on ancestry free weekend, too tired to do that tonight. There are also still bits of decorating to finish and things to put back. Not sure if that will get done with DH's bad knee and he is off to Zurich on Thursday so won't be here next weekend.

Looks lovely honeybear good luck with the cutting out.

We've had a nice day here. Lunch at friends house, trample round the NT gardens (they ran out if eggs for the easter trail so didn't charge us) and the play park, then back to friends for an hour. Littlies have had to get in bath as there was much rolling down hills and sliding in mud. Mucky pups. They are both shattered lol. The bath water was grey  :rotfl:
Think they are probably asleep ;)

We might pop up to town tomorrow - I did say they could buy another egg instead - or something else. And I want a few bits for our hols - we need a pack up for the flight and some toothbrushes.

Other than that I'll be turfing the littlies out in the garden, it's supposed to be bright. And I need to start packing really.

I'm pretty tired too - we've had toast for tea, so I might just do 5min in the kitchen then head upstairs...
