Indeed, it does not sound in the least solicitor, especially with such a long established firm as this one, I would expect complaints to be dealt with by a senior partner.
I think that you have been fobbed off. Why not write to a senior partner asking him to confirm that it was written with the knowledge of the firm. Mark the letter "Personal",You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
It is no coincidence that Solicitors who get in bed with PPC clients all end up in the gutter with "their new friends".
Anyone googling their name that wants any reliable work doing and you find out they have their grubby arm in the sink of a PPC.
You would not trust them to do anything would you ?I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Possibly, but "Customer Assurance Department" sounds more like the kind of rubbish debt collectors invent than a department in a legal firm. For a start, solicitors don't have "customers", they have clients.
Exactly, and why would they need an Assurance Department?
Solicitors letterhead doesn't mean it came from a solicitor. If it was genuine, they'd drop ZZPS are a client entirely, but I suspect that ZZPS have decided that you know too much and have dropped it in such a way their client can fire off a claim at some point.
I'd phone the solicitors office (look up the number from google) and ask to speak to whoever did the signing and ask them directly.0 -

But do NOT 'phone any of the numbers in/on any of the letters you've received, which will surely take you directly to ZZPS not WH.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Solicitors do not have Customer Assurance departments. Their website offers a "Client login" button though!0

Slightly O/T, but on the subject of bent lawyers, I recently had some dealings with this chap - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/1755456.stm
Michael Greet, a former Bristol Solicitor, is now passing himself off as a "freelance legal consultant" since he has been released, but his morals and professionalism have not been altered for the better following his stretch inside.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

We did email several of the senior partners from WH. No reply directly from them only the one already shown from the customer assurance dept. (Link below)

Note:- I can't believe I sound like I'm defending these people. :eek:I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0 -

I did note that on the complaint resolution procedure PDF there is reference to taking your complaint to the Credit Service Association (CSA). The problem is Wright Hassall are not members so I did some further digging and found:-
1) A company called "Quantum Debt Recovery Limited" are members of the CSA: http://www.csa-uk.com/corporate/members-list/
(recognise the contact details?) and their website
http://www.quantum-debt.com/.
2) Furthermore, Quantum are regulated by the SRA but under a different reference to Wrighthassall

Sounds like Quantum and WH want to obfuscate details and confuse people...
Hmm, typical protocol followed by PPCs and their allies I'd wager0 -
