Even if the Co-op Severed their contract with CEL, if there was a contract in place between CEL and the Co-op at the time of the original alleged parking incident, then any subsequent modifications to that contract should be irrelevant.
If i took out a phone contract with a phone company racked up a huge bill, and then changed phone company's before paying off the bill would I get away from having to pay the original phone company as my contract with the old phone company had been severed?

Uncle Eric P is probably out and about begging for his job again come the May election - and if he should get a PPC ticket he probably has someone to deal with it for him ( and will most likely pay up believing it to be a fine and then put it on expenses )
And at a guess there will be someone else in that job after the election ( either conservative/labour/lib dem or even UKIP or SNP )

As for this whole DEAL thing and cases being thrown out, surely the ultimate responsibility lies with those who contracted the parking company to act on their land in the first place, and in most cases the finger of blame would be pointing firmly at the Co-op
I forgot about that small detail, Ooops.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I called the court today and they confirmed that they have received the notice of discontinuance (had to explain the lady on the phone what one was) on the 31st and the case has been archived. Good luck to all those still awaiting and still fighting.

Get a costs letter in, based on their wholly unreasonable behaviour (and list it, any late submissions/payments, no DQ to you, etc...).

Your time at £18 per hour and any printing, stationery, stamps, etc.
