Hmm, interesting:). Led to another dead-end though didn't it?

Yes I am well. Not sure about the battery though - laptop still seems to be getting a bit hot. Perhaps not as hot as it was before, I don't know. Maybe it was always that way and I only noticed the other week! Also, although it said drain to 2% battery then charge to 100%, I couldn't go to 2% as the laptop switched off after 5%. Also the battery only went up to 80% and then stopped charging. I changed the power plan - still the same. I don't understand these things:rotfl:. I managed to press something that changed the task bar to a weird colour:eek::eek:. Still don't know what I did, now reset it manually to the previous colour (by searching of course for "color":() but never sure if something in the background has subtly changed. The old battery only ever went up to 80% and was fine. Except that, a couple of weeks ago, suddenly, on a single occasion and never before (since new anyway) or since, it went to 100% by some fluke.

It seems to be okay. Maybe just leave it and only worry at the moment the house is ablaze.

It's been suggested tonight maybe I should get a new laptop, but that rather defeats the point.

I could have been concerned unnecessarily - for example, someone that has a centuries old cottage that has cracks down the walls, was bought like that and they had a survey that found it to be perfectly safe, they say on the internet elsewhere that sometimes they look at a wall and see a crack and get concerned... then they remember, somewhat later, that that crack was always there. So, possibly, it's same with me and my laptop. Trouble is I don't know (I'm not sure).

Talking of fires......I was going along the back lane today and there was a couple standing in the middle of the road away from their car. They flagged me down and at first I thought it must have been an injured animal or a horse on the loose. Then saw smoke pouring from the car. They had jumped out quickly when smoke started coming from the dash. Put it this way......there wasn't much left of it 10 mins later

I dont know why that word was like that, i'll type it again see what happens lol coconuts if its not there i am referring to the white stuff found it bounty bars...but fresh ones in hard brown hairy shells lol

Coconuts? You confused me now as that doesn't even fit:rotfl:. You probably spelt it incorrectly. The white stuff found in Bounty bars? I'm not even sure what that is - one of my blank spots again:rotfl::rotfl:. In hard brown hairy shells, now, saucy!:rotfl: Obviously I'm in the gutter again. Me and my legendary double-quote Banana that the system doesn't like! EDIT: Yes, just tried it - a double quote followed by the word !!!!!!!" appears as seven exclamation points!

EDIT: Sorry:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. It's not letting me put quotation marks around the word Banana now:rotfl:. I was using it in order to quote - it's not accurate without a quotation mark either side of the word. I'm probably forced to use spaces: I wanted to refer to my use of the word " Banana " (ignore the spaces;)). In fact single space at the front is fine: it's okay with " Banana". Even if I feel like circling that space with a red pen lol!:rotfl::rotfl: I never understood that one (the changing of the word Banana when a quote immediately is put in front of it). It's just all seems bananas to me. Onwards and upwards now...
