V.quickly, should not have bought SP W/ml Bread vs M:( (was comparing best vs 44p and knocking about penny off but now they have adjusted it way up beyond what it 'should' and it's lost money):

Or, in effect, I lost 10% off the SP tins I bought and paid full price on them if I pretend the bread was paid for at 40p. Lose 5p, gain 5p on the SP tins in 10% but lose it.

Also these Pukka Pies, which we needed, but are expensive anyway even at £1.35:eek:, have now returned N/A even though, irrelevantly, they are £1.50 in M:

So, they picked them up last Monday then missed them on Wednesday:mad::mad::( - only I could do such a disastrous shop! What a nasty price paid for them - should have bought them in M earlier! Didn't need to have them to spend and pay for on APG shop, as had enough items anyway but was having to overload shop to ensure enough as no ability/time to check msm in my current circumstances:(.

The currently unfavourable comparisons may all change back again later today. So, I ended up with, only just about, a 'free' shop - cost-neutral - this time although even that was after the prev. APG voucher. APG + real cash:eek: - got APG of only just a few pence more than the real cash I spent. I should stick solely to 10p sweets next time. It's not really free my way - it was less than half back, even after the Febreze and Dettol contributed nearly the whole voucher. Rest of it was a normal shop, wasted! I'll 'pretend' I lost nowt - even though I no longer have the prev. APG voucher. Cash amount spent put onto voucher. I really did lose, the prev. voucher, but since it came from a series of glitch items?!?

Thanks, before I dash off, to whoever found the Febreze/Dettol combo. Someone ought to find a glitch now on the actual Febreze sets to put the Refresh & Sets into,as I don't have any, so I believe they're useless! I needed the Dettol wipes really. So, in effect, a Dettol wipes shop plus paying for everything else:eek:, the Dettol wipes might as well have cost £5 but cost about minus £1 if two of the right Ambi Pur Febrezes are bought. Thanks again - I needed the glitch - without it I would have had an APG not even worth printing. I'm waffling again, and wasting power(:rotfl:). See you again later!:):wave:

Trouble with landlords is if you complain they know they do not have to do sod all. My landlady has only ever fixed one thing and that was the burst pipe. She always leaves fencing down until landlord next door gets fed up and does it himself. Luckily my neighbours have an adorable terrier called vinny who comes to my patio door as he knows I will go in garden and play ball with him. Next door are good and pick up any little lawn presents he leaves.
My boiler is so noisy now I have to turn the whole thing off at night but I know her answer will be 'if you don't like it leave'. Had to replace carpets at my own expense after falling down the stairs several times due to extremely worn carpet.
I agree take photos. When I moved in here letting agent supplied photos of any areas of concern but still took my own.

ive tried to reason with ds that its unfair for us to find out about life changing stuff by reading it on her fb and how much it hurts us but its never her fault.dh is trying to protect ds but he thinks hes interfering and treating him like crap but dh only wants best for him.
Dh paid for them to go for weekend away at easter, also to go abroad in sept but now she doesnt want to go so ds aint going.dh is hurt so is wanting to cancel their hol even if he loses loads of money.
cant see this ending well for them or me....

Sorry to hear you're going through a hard time ILGD The bit I bolded is exactly how I am but when I try to explain this I just get told I'm talking bull**** I understand this must be very hard for you going through this and hope things get better for you soon xx

The To Do list is very modest today so it is going to be a day whereby I attempt to do a booking.

I've been trying to get together a mid week break - I have activities and meals organised but I dare not print off the actual maps (yes I know we have sat nav but its OH who does the driving and I need something pictorial in front of me

So I've been ringing the B and B place now all weekend and Monday - I've tried the obvious times like just after nine, before lunch when they would be getting rooms ready and mid afternoon when they would be booking people in and then again early evening. The phone rings 8 times then goes to answer phone. Twice the line has been engaged but when I ring just after again I get no answer. Last night there was a proper answer phone message not just the automated one. It asked to leave a number and then cut you off in mid sentence.
I must now have rung dozens of times and left 3 messages - hi, this is ?, my number is ? hoping to make a booking I will try again later.
I expect when I do get through eventually the dates I want won't be available and there won't be 2 days together for the whole of May -

I've got 2 weeks from when I book the voucher to cancel so this is my plan b

I am very tempted just to have a look at premier inn close by - if it had a cheap breakfast place nearby I would have no hesitation. OH has to have proper English breakfast

A nice B and B out in the country would be far better than PI on an industrial estate but at least I can make an instant booking - Premier inn is not on any cashback sites though
