Unfortunately you have been misinformed about us north of border. A lot of us want clock left alone, too much hassle with body clock etc.
I lived and worked in Shetland for a number of years and in winter you got 4 hours sunshine and in summer the Lerwick golf club had a golf tournament on midsummers day called "the simmer dim" at "nightime" as it didn't get dark at all, just a twilight.
So to be honest clock changing hardly makes a difference.

I think some are and some aren't. DS1 became obsessed with showering and deodorant at age 13. DS2 took a bit longer and would be smelly occasionally, but didn't have the aversion to showering like stepson. I always packed clean clothes and underwear for my kids if they stayed anywhere. Stepsons mum is a dirty lazy b***h so there's not much hope for her son to learn good hygiene habits unfortunately.

For me it doesn't bother me so much germ wise if the people I love are dirty, I don't worry about their germs but don't like the thought of germs from people I don't care about. I know there's no logic to this, it's just the way I am
