I telephoned them and started to go through all the list and in the end they had overcharged me £26.00. It took about 15 - 20 mins on the phone with them at my expense. They said sorry and I received an email apologising for the problem with my order - no where did it say I had been overcharged.
Apparantlyy the money will take a few days to get to my account.
I was offered no compensation at all - my loss and absolutely no loss for tescos.
What have others experienced - should I try for compensation. I always thought if Tescos overcharge you you get the item for free.
Many thanks - i look forward to your responses.
I wrote to them via email complaining why do I have to be out of pocket (my time and cost of call) when they have overcharged me. Also I asked the question what is their policy re overcharging.
We had a few emails going back and forth as they were asking for more details.
There final reply sorry there is not much we can do when the checkouts do not recognise promotions.
They did not answer my question about there policy.
Oh well it was worth a try.0 -
Stop don't do it. Sell the vouchers on ebay there is a good market on there for them and get almost double the face value for them. I often buy vouchers this way and get them changed into meal deals so meals still cost me 50% less.
Thanks for your advice Cotsvale. I have listed £56.50 worth of vouchers on ebay for £110 and have recieved the following from an interested buyer:
"Hi There,
I have just made you an offer for your clubcard vouchers. If successful I will pay CASH into your bank account so you can see the purchase immediately. I want the vouchers for BA miles. I only need the voucher numbers to convert them not the actual vouchers so you can email these to me."
I have asked for payment via bank transfer so this doesn't bother me, I just wanted to run this by someone first as I've had bad ebay experiences before and I'm paranoid it'll happen again. Should I go for it? Does it seem legit?
If anyone is interested in buying them its here:

i sold some vouchers a while ago gave the buyers the codes ,one buyer no problems but the other tried to tell me that the codes wouldnt work in the end i lost out because i had to refund her. ive sold 4 different lots on ebay in the last 2wks and as you have i asked for buyers to tell me what deals they wanted and i would send of for them, 3 buyers did this no problems the other buyer wanted the codes via email i told her she was running the risk of tesco cancelling the order and she wasnt having any of it so i said fine i emailed her the codes and told her that there would be no refund giving at all if this was to happen, this was also stated in big red writing on my add. you could add this to your add and tell the buyer the same just explain youve had bad problems before if she wants them that bad she will still go for it.:rotfl: :rotfl:Thanks for your advice Cotsvale. Never EVER hand out your bank details to anyone, least of all a stranger. Tell him you will accept paypal and leave it up to him.0 -

I wanted to order my Christmas shop on line but all the slots were booked up and after I went into Tesco today to do a shop I'm glad, the till spilled out two vouchers and one of them is for £14 off a shop before 24.12.07 and the other for double points on a shop! Bearing in mind the best discounts I ever had before have been a £15 off code but then had delivery added to it, the most I've saved is £8 or £9. So now I'm not bothered about having to physically go shopping just before Chrsitams - especially as I finish work on the 20th for a massive 10 days!! I really felt like I'd lost out not being able to book a delivery slot but now I don't feel so bad bearing in mind they might just want some shoppers picking up things they see at the last minute (but we are money saving experts and we are wise to their advertising gimmicks!!! Aren't we????)! Ha!:j Addicted to money saving0
