Have just bought a condenser dryer from Tesco direct - they have triple points on some electrical products so I received 672 for that then put in the code for the 999 points so in total a good 1671 points and free delivery! Not bad - thank goodness I found this site!

Why ever not? You're giving out exactly the same info any time you pay for something by cheque... If anyone wants to fraudulently pay money into my account they can go right ahead...
Anyway, the point is that you can't buy points on Ebay and convert them to BA Airmiles. I had someone try to do that a year ago and Tesco rang to cancel the transaction because they are not transferable. BA Airmile account has to be in the same name.
Not only that but because they only credit the amount back to your account you won't get the amount back in vouchers until the following quarter. That's why everyone's got "transfer into deals at your own risk" and "buyer's job to ensure they can use the deal" etc on their auctions...

Hi all
I have a wine order to be delivered tomorrow evening and I have just booked a grocery shop to arrive on the same slot, in the hope that one delivery charge may get refunded. I have four accounts but I made sure I used the same account for each, linked to the same email address. I always try to keep a low profile and never phone customer services. But now I am worried that if they do look to refund one charge, it may draw attention to my multiple accounts. Would I be cleverer to have my grocery shop at a different time to the wine shop?
And I have read occasionally that tescos have phoned to query multiple accounts and I am sure that someone once posted a clever reply but I can't remember it - is there any way to escape having the accounts closed once they contact you?

Does anyone know how to add vouchers and change method of payment after a Tesco grocery order has been placed??
I booked a slot weeks ago for christmas and now when I try to add codes, and change debit cards I can't. Any ideas??0 -
You will have to cancel the order and start again. You will then be able to enter codes and change payment method.0

I did the same thing with regard to the codes, and I am due to receive my order on saturday, so i phoned customer services and the lady there said that once you get your delivery phone up and tell them you forgot to take your discount and they will manually refund the value and adjust your points total with any extra point codes. Sorry cant help with the card query - give them a call they are usually very helpful.Every days a School day!0

Hi All,
I have posted this elsewhere but it is important so we need to make sure as many people see this as possible.
3 weeks ago I confirmed my Tesco order and had a fresh turkey crown in my shopping basket, yesterday I went in to add some more bits and after a while I realised that the turkey was not there anymore. I looked for it again to add another and there are no fresh or frozen turkeys available.
So, I called Tesco and said 'my turkey is not there and I can't find them online'. They THEN told me (reading from a Memo she had been given) that they had a problem with their turkeys and they were not going to be available. I asked why I was not told and she told me that I should have been emailed and called but as of yet I've had neither and my delivery is scheduled for tomorrow - 20th - and I would have been left with no Turkey.
They also told me that on the memo it stated that some people were calling to say that their Fresh turkey was not showing in their shopping basket but not to worry as they WOULD get a turkey.So, it seems to be something of a lottery as to whether your turkey from Tesco will arrive and you won;t know until it arrives on your doorstep. I've stuck a chicken in my basket to ensure I get something as this is all that is left.
The lady on the phone told me that the best way to ensure I got a Turkey was to - wait for it - go into store and get one!!!!!
So I might as well have not bothered booking the delivery and going into town to shop anyway - the fresh turkeys are not available until 20th December instore!!!!!!!!
Please can you ensure that anyone that might have ordered a fresh turkey on there online Tesco Home Delivery Order is aware of this problem. I am going to post this on the Tesco threads too so please don't shoot my down for spamming but I did think it important that everyone was aware of this problem because Tesco certainly did not tell me that my turkey was no longer available and if you have your delivery scheduled for Xmas Eve you'll be left with no food!! :mad:
I am going to turn the chicken away if the turkey arrives so everyone else should do the same as they can;t tell you if you'll get it on the phone but mine is not showing on my order either this or their end.:mad:
