Hello, I was going to do my first online grocery shop, in order to get the 1000 extra points when you spend £50, and I have a few questions:

1) Should I put £50 worth in my basket and not ask for substitutes if not available, and certain items are not available when delivering which results in the cost on delivery being below £50, will I still get my 1000 points?

2) Does the coupon apply on a shop of £50 before discounts are applied (i.e buy 1 get one free) or is it on the total amount actually spent?

Thanks

1) When I've had items that weren't available or where I've refused the substitutes from a grocery shop, Mr T has always given me my 1000 points - even if the total spend was then less than £50.

2) Others have reported mixed results on this. Some shops seem to use the total before BOGOFs, some use the total after. Personally I have never dared risk it as I really, really want my points. So I always make sure the total after BOGOfs is at least £50.

It's unbelievably arrogant that Tesco Direct are now charging customers £4.85 for the priviledge of collecting smaller orders from the store!
Can you imagine the uproar if Argos started doing the same thing.
I urge anybody that has ever made an order for under £25 to send a complaint email about this to tescodirect@tesco.co.uk

You never know, if enough people complain about it then they might sit up and listen!

Considering the hoo ha recently when one of the high street banks tried to charge students interest on overdrafts and they kicked up a fuss on 'Facebook' maybe the same thing would work here to make Tesco do a 'Volte face' Anybody got a facebook account to start the ball rolling ?

Got a wine delivery last night (using XX-E57F for a £50 min. shop). CS rang me up and said the Simply Garnacha I'd ordered was out of stock so delivered rest of wine for £46 and I got 1042 points worth over £41 - RESULT!

• Hi I was hoping that someone could advise me.

I have a clubcard which I rarely use, and do have an online shopping account set up, my husband has one which we use all the time for online shopping, I trying to get as many clubcard points as possible at the moment, saving for deals. I have used the 1000 and 750 extra points codes on his account now and they can only be used once. I did think of using them on my account and ordering the weekly shop through my account, but when I phoned clubcard to ask if we could put our vouchers together to exchange for deals he said no. He did say that we can link the cards and have my points accrued going to my husbands so we get one lot of vouchers. But will they let us do this if we use the same extra points codes on both accounts? Does anyone know, would be most grateful for advice. Thanks

You can use this account and the vouchers can be used for deals even if you have different surnames, as long as the people who's names are on the deals are going on holiday it is fine, i have just booked florida and i have a different surname to my partner and children, it's not a problem, don't contact cs ask on here if you have a question you'll gat better advise and it will be correct.
• Thanks, but would it be a problem to link our cards together and use the same codes twice? Well once on each account?

If you join your cards together you will only be able to use any codes once. It's fine to have more than one account i have 3 in my name my oh has 2, i can then use each code 5 times.
• Thanks, sorry if I am being a bit thick here, but how do I open another account in his name and mine then? Do I open a new clubcard account in each of our names with new clubcard numbers, do I have to use a different name or can I have 2 accounts in the same name, same mailing address but different email addresses and do I then link them together by phoning customer services? Sorry a bit confused on exactly how to do this.

Thank you:o

You can open a virtual account online, go to the tesco site and join use you same surnames but slightly alter you first name if you are say Mrs Sarah Smith on the account you have at the moment on the new account you could put Ms S smith use the same address but a new e-mail for each account, where it asks for your clubcard number leave it blank or get a new paper card and put that number in, these new accounts do not need to be linked any more than the fact that they are at the same address. There is one golden rule NEVER phone customer services, there is a chance they will notice your account and merge them there is no point in merging accounts.
