Hi everyone,

I'm just after a little advise. I fill up the car twice a week to travel to and from work (thank heavens for the 5p off petrol  ) and with this and other shopping, maybe even an extra 1000 points shop, I should have a fair few points this time round and I am trying to work out the best use I can make of these points.

Can anyone tell me what 1000 points would amount to in airmiles please. I don't know whether this would be making good use or not???

Thanks in advance
David

1000 points would get you 240 airmiles according to there site

I don't know that much about airmiles but a do ask yourself-

If I convert my CC in to airmiles will I use them?

If your stuck for ideas do what I do keep all the vouchers and convert as and when you require them. When you convert them you usually get the vouchers within 48hrs.

Hope that help's a little

Ps - welcome aboard

I got my grocery delivery last night re £50 less BOGOF and got my 1000 points but no petrol voucher presume re based on final figure.
• Thanks to all for the info re getting a petrol voucher from online grocery order. I added some extra things on my order yesterday afternoon to ensure I've spent over the £50 after offers.

I was really impressed to be able to change my order at such short notice as it's being delivered this morning.

• Yep, grocery order came OK with £5 petrol voucher spent £55. I must have ordered 4 bags of apple though so will have to make the kids eat double. That's the sort of error you don't make walking around the supermarket.

I also ordered the cheap wine for 1000 points the other day too so that's for that tip. I now have around 4000 points since last ones were sent and have 12850 banked too.

I will look into opening up another account too soon as it seems like a sensible thing to do.

Wanted to ask another little question. Has anyone got an internet phone to get 1000 points? Is it worth doing? I haven't seen it mentioned and I know I had the offer with my last statement.

Thanks again for all the great advice.

Glad to see that you are making the most of these codes Shop-to-drop

I am like you in the way I always end up with a few more things than I really wanted, No joke I have over 60 bottles of Coca Cola here. My wife goes mad, I tend to top up any shopping with the likes oj Juice, Crisps, etc

Re spending over £50 after deductions, I have to say I have also been lucky enough to have been goven the fuel voucher and my extra 1000 points. It all depends on the store, so unless you know someone from your area who gets home shopping then I guess the only way you will know is by ordering a shop which will fall below the £50 after all the BOGOF's

Have fun and keep shopping

Has anyone else noticed that from today Tesco Direct are charging £4.85 for store delivery and free if order is over £25.00, certainly will make me think twice about ordering from them in the future.

It's unbelievably arrogant that Tesco Direct are now charging customers £4.85 for the priviledge of collecting smaller orders from the store!
Can you imagine the uproar if Argos started doing the same thing.
I urge anybody that has ever made an order for under £25 to send a complaint email about this to tescodirect@tesco.co.uk

You never know, if enough people complain about it then they might sit up and listen!

I like your idea, however I would not all start emailing them if you have many accounts.

Remember each time you contact Tesco you run the risk of your accounts being merged, points being cleared, being questioned and so on.

Think about it before you contact them.

Ooooh, I've not been to the zoo for years, no kids though, so it wouldn't quite be as much fun I guess.

Looks like my 1000 points aren't going to get me all of the way to the Bahamas though, oh well, there's always Skegness.

Your points may not get you to the Bahamas, but they'll take you further than you think if you use your Airmiles when they have special offers on.

In the spring they were doing two for the price of one flights as long as you used either all or part miles. There was nothing available in the peak holiday month of August, but I did manage to book flights for October half term. :T
