    Hi all
Tescos have changed their website design - anyone notice? This is all down to us lot here on MSE and all other code sites on the net!
The new site design will not allow you to use a voucher code unless it has specifically been sent to you via your registered email address or home address!!!!
Tesco customer services say that this is because the system is being abused by us! They have lost money and now need to address the problem!!!
So now unless you get the code sent specifically to you, you will be unable to use it.
So in theory this board is useless - shame it has been a godsend to me for saving money on my weekly shop. Unless of course some clever techie out there can get around it - if so let us know!!;)
:D All I want is an opportunity to prove that money doesn't buy happiness :D

  • Just got this code today in the post for £10 off wine orders of £100 or more
XX-V27C valid until 2.3.08. If someone tries it and it works it would be worthwhile posting, if what loobylee says is true it may become pointless to post tesco codes????

I managed to use a code on my husbands account earlier that hadnt been sent to him but if thats the case I wont be using them in future. They say they dont make any money as weve abused the system, thats a joke. Their prices have risen a LOT recently so they are the ones abusing us.
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • Just received this in the post:

700 Extra Clubcard points when you spend £70 on wine or champagne. Simply enter XX-JY46,

Hope this helps someone, Dont know if it is user specific. I shall not be using it as I have had enough of T's inability to treat their customers with any respect whats-so-ever.

Would this be for wine club or for wine ordered from the general groceries section?

Got the info from my MIL - who works for Tesco at head office. Apparently they have lost loads of money through code sharing and are trying to put a stop to it.

Thanks for the inside information. If they think they have lost a lot of money through people sharing codes they are going to be shocked to see how much they are about to lose by people shopping elsewhere. What idiots.
  • If codes can't be shared I will also stop using Tesco.

I have been shopping with them for 5 years online and have never ever received a code!

It will be interesting to see if they email me to try and get back my custom

Absolutely - I only shop at Tesco if I have free delivery or some sort of incentive - considering the level of service and amount of my time they've wasted over the last few years, paying £5 for having something delivered late/not at all or items being out of stock is a complete joke.

It'll be some numb-nut director with a bee in his bonnet who can't see the wood for the trees - which is that sure they lose a few quid via vouchers, but then they gain customer loyalty and still make a profit whilst offering a mediocre service. Ocado will charge me more, but then they'll be on time, polite and unpack in my kitchen - so if I have to pay for it who am I going stump up my cash with? The one who justifies the charge of course.

I think Sainsburys still offer £2.50 delivery if you spend over £75 - in which case it'll be a bigger shop done more infrequently and Tesco can lose my £70 weekly food budget - more fool them.
I do hope you're telling the truth?
