EXCEL PCN Advice

Hi all, newbie here
This week I received a PCN from Excel, it was a windscreen ticket and the exact reason was "Not displaying a valid ticket blah blah"
Anyway, long story short my ticket had fell off the windscreen and landed face down on the dash. I got home and hastily emailed Excels appeal service with a scan of my valid ticket and a grovelling story which I now realise was mistake. I also admitted to being the driver.
Now, i understand that this 1st appeal and my second at the IAS will most likely both be rejected.
What i am wondering is, after both appeals are rejected, will i face the inevitable bombardment of debt collection letters, or is there anything more i can do?
I fully intend to ignore all letters unless they decide on small claims.
Thanks in advance

bear in mind that you outed the driver so they stand more chance of going to court over the next 6 years, but its unlikely (but never say never)0
