Not complaining, just saying

Hi fellow compers :)

I started comping early Feb and had one pretty quick win but since then nothing. Now, I'm not saying I expect to be winning all the time, but I have been entering literally hundreds a day (no exaggeration, but still only things that I'd really like to win) and did think that I may have the odd small win here and there.

I know a lot of comps will finish at the end of the month etc so there's still time and, to be honest, I enjoy it anyway as it keeps me occupied.

Guess I was just making an observation really :)

Anyhooo good luck everyone!

Still really early days, a lot won't have ended yet. I'd give it a few more weeks.

    too many comps..not enough time!

    Lukki Lu,

Lots on this forum about the high odds against winning and the need to be realistic about wins. High volume of entries helps but obviously does not guarantee a win ;)

If it doesn't make you too despondent take a look at the number of views, especially for high value comps. And this is just views from the MSE site.......

I find it easiest just to enjoy the wins that come - especially the surprises - and carry on comping :)
    Still cracking on....

Oh yes I completely agree! As I said I am enjoying comping so just look forward to as/when the wins do start to come in :)

I have put my name down for the April count so I will be able to see exactly how many I am entering, just out of curiosity really.

Well done on your first win that you received quickly hope it was a good one :T I started comping in January and like you have been entering around a hundred a day but I have still not been lucky enough to win.

I am enjoying my new comping hobby and feel excited that maybe one day I will win, we have to be in it to win it and anyone can be lucky enough to win so fingers crossed. I mostly enter the free competitions so as they are free to enter I am not as disheartened as when I lose to the ones I have paid to enter.

I hear of people waiting over six months to win so whats for us won't go by us.

Good luck for any future comps.

Comping is so popular now that it does seem much harder to win. When I started four years ago I would have a couple of wins a week, and not just small things, but cheques, gaming consoles, guitars, holidays. For the compers who established the forum it must have been like shooting fish in a barrel for a good while! I still enjoy it so I keep going, but I think you really need to like the process now, and just enjoy the odd win when it comes along. Otherwise you'd be better off focusing on survey sites and earning extra cash to buy the things you want!

Oh god I couldn't do the survey sites, it would drive me insane lol.

Yes it must be much harder to win now.

I'd say on average I'm entering 300 per day so I am hopeful I will get something in the not so distant future. In the meantime, though, I'm happy just tapping in my details and dreaming of owning a nice new flash car, or going on an exotic holiday hehe.

I started end of Jan, average about 106 a day (every Sunday eve I'll probs do 300) and haven't won a bean :rotfl:

Dreaming of the day I get a win, don't think I'll care what it is haha.

The other thing to remember is that there is often a big delay between the comp ending and them picking a winner and then dispatching the prize, plus they often don't tell you that you've won. I received a (surprise) prize earlier this year for a competition that had ended 3 months previously.

No offence, but if I enter a comp that isn't here, I will always, or nearly always, post it here. It doesn't happen very often, because I rarely find a comp that isn't already here. If you think about it, everyone who posts comps here reduces their own odds of winning. I'd feel guilty if I entered a comp elsewhere without checking/ posting it here. I thought I'd try and say this tactfully before others load up the flaming gun and point it at you :D
