Reclaiming Natwest Advantage Gold charges

Hi,
I'm about to start to try & reclaim my fees for an Advantage Gold account with Natwest.
I have found some bank statements which state - Advantage Gold from 2004-2006. Is there a way that I can find out exactly when the additional charges started & ended?

If you are making a mis-sale complaint you don tt need to work it out.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Is there a template for this as I would also like to see if I have a claim regarding advantage gold.0

You dont need a template. A couple of lines saying why you believe it was mis-sold is all it takes. Bullet point reasons work well too.
Templates run the risk of you making allegations that are lies and if it is found you are telling lies then you lose credibility and in other areas where a judgement call needs to be made, the most credible side wins.
Stick to using your own words with your own reasons. Even the FOS recommend that when complaining.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I rang up Natwest complaining that I was unaware I had been paying a fee for my account. They said they would look into it for me,then wrote to me saying that the benefits I had from it outweighed any claim but agreed it had been misold.I rand again and said I wasn't happy with their decision,so they said they would look into it again. A few days later a few hundred pounds was credited into my account.I was pleased I didn't accept their first decision.0

Sounds like a goodwill gesture as it's cheaper than the FOS fee.
Not knowing you were paying is not a valid complaint reason as the fee is on every single one of your statements and if you were unhappy you could have complained when you saw the first charge.
Still well done on getting some money back if you never used the features and being persistentSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I am about to chase up Natwest regarding reclaiming packaged bank account fees.
I received a letter from them dated 9th April saying they were looking into my case. I have a case number - this tell me that there is a case!
Any suggestions as to what I put in the chase up letter?0 -

The allocation of a case number is no indication of validity of the complaint. Nor does the timescale given the volume of complaints being received. They may have requested documentation from the archives and waiting for that. Or it may be sitting on a desk waiting for someone to look at it.Any suggestions as to what I put in the chase up letter?
Simple. Just say that you received acknowledgement 3 months ago and have heard nothing since and that you wish to receive a progress update to decide whether to refer the case to the FOS or not.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I've still not heard a thing from Natwest.
So my next step is to write to the FOS, is there a template letter on here that I can use?
Thanks0 -
