The 1st was only last wednesday and for some parts of the country there was a postal strike on thursday. At work we had no pickups or delivery of mail.

First class is not missing until 5 working days have elapsed. So it if left on wednesday and there was a postal strike that allows until this comikng wednesday.

    Calley

First class isn't recognised by royal mail as missing until 15 working days from posting.

I called CS again today about the missing giftcard they claim they've sent to me. Apparently, it was sent on the 1st of August, but I don't believe they have really sent it. I know royal mail are slow, but they are not THAT slow:mad: I will wait 2 more days and if it doesn't arrive then I'm calling back. Is it possible to get a gift card cancelled, if it got lost in the post ?

Just thought I would let you know, I posted something 1st class recorded del on the 31st, and it only arrived/was signed for today, so maybe your gift card is on its way :)

Thank you freebird.... not sure whether i'll be able to do my "bootsing" on the 15th or 16th. Not even sure where the Boots are in Central London!!!

There's a big one at Piccadilly Circus, bang in the centre where I need to go - and others like Oxford Street nearby. I also know a couple of excellent bars/cafes etc for post-Bootsing refreshments. Coming Cerenia?

This could end up being a mass gathering......imagine the SA's faces when a 100-strong posse of Bootsers march in! :rotfl: :rotfl:

'Fraid it doesn't - have tried several times and one with my fave SA who seems to let EVERYTHING go through.

Re a Bootsing trip into central London - I can do 15th or 16th. Self-employed so in charge of my own time off!

there is also a pretty good one on the strand - off trafalgar sqaure and up towards covent garden. and if you're going along that way you could always hop on the bus and go along the strand towards the end of fleet street where there is a fairly new, farily large one HTH

oh yes and umberto gianni hair products are now 2 for £6, I don't know if that's been mentioned before
  • for those of you guys heading into to central london, tottenham court road boots had a really rubbish clearance section...only a few electrical items in it.

generally the central london ones don't tend to be hot spots for clearance items (In my experience)

but def a good day out
