  • Thank you, thank you, and thank you, for all the tips and pointers.

Today I visited 4 yes four different branches of Boots in an effort to make the best and cheapest use of my £5 vouchers. Gosh don't they make it hard for us !!

But, what I really wanted to say was I got some FANTASTIC bargins on the 90% off clearance lines.

First store had huge, megga signs up saying 90% off - only the red stickered items I notice, but I managed to get some really nice things to put away for pressies inc
Boss - Woman - shower gel £1 ( white and red boxes)
    Davidoff - Woman - Echo - Body Cream £2
YSL - Yveresse 60ml spray £3 - ( got no idea what it smells like, but at that price I couldn't resist !!)
    Nichole Farhi - Homme - 30ml E de T - £2
    Kenzo - Flowers - shower cream £1

Also, Loads of Botanics & FCUK self Tan stuff for 30p
Of course I managed to split my shop so I got a few more £5 vouchers !!;)

But, next LARGE store I went into was pants - only rubbish on the clearance shelf, and no red stickers, plus not much TD stuff under £15  Also, NO sign to say 90% off

Third shop I lost my nerve and got the £3.99 wipes - didn't want to be left with any vouchers  - Here I grabbed another couple of bargins with red stickers - which came up automatically 90% off. SA looked disgusted as SHE clearly didn't know they had gone down that much ( no signs in this store either) She even said "That must be wrong" cancelled the transaction and tried again.....TOB knew to keep schtum, and yes it went thru second time at VERY low price again :D
Clearly if SAs had known about mega reduction, there would have been nothing left for rest of us.
Fourth Boots, and again no sign of 90% reductions. But, although they had tonnes of stuff reduced, none with red labels, only white bar coded ones, so didn't even bother trying.

Thanks again, I may try No 1 Boots again tomorrow, they had shelves of stuff left.

BTW, I got the red/pink striped No7 gwp boxes, reduced to £3.25 I think they were. But I got 3, seeing as No7 is on 342, but didn't get the third one free, am I expecting too much ??
Are there any vouchers inside worth ripping the boxes open for, if not they will go away for nieces for Xmas. Look really nice and pretty.
  • I went to 2 Boots today-Bromborough and Cheshire Oaks thought the sale was pretty rubbiah (although i was hoping for 90% which i didn't see-now wish i had tried a red sticker item to see if it worked!)

Has anyone been to Birkenhead Boots?

ive been to meadowhall one and i wouldnt reccomend it. The stuff (no 7 mainly) wasnt 90% off , there wasnt anything!! i asked them to scan it and check but it wasnt, they were horrible no7 ladies and they wernt impressed with me at all! i asked when they would be reduced and she said oh not for a few weeks. mmm cant see it been that long. Try park gate, ive been there today and got a good few bits, even though there was only a little section.Let me know if you find out when meadowhall is on and ill do the same xx

Went to Sheffield High St today and they didn't seem to have the 90% off, although I didn't try any of the red stickered items. Most of the sale items had the white bar codes on though. They do seem to be bringing out more stuff each day. Today they had a lot of very cheap vitamins and supplements, eg a bottle of Sanatogen 50+ vitamins for £1, large bottles of Aloe Vera liquid for £1 - the best before dates varied but all were in date and some don't expire till 2010 so worth stocking up.

I got 3 x 60 tablet bottles of co-enzyme Q10 which were £1 each, but they went through as 3 for 2 so £2 total! Also, I got two tubes of Lutsine Xeramance cream for very dry skin, these were £2 each and the ACM was giving away a BOGOF voucher for these, which worked as well. (Only took the £2 off though, not the original full price!!).

I also managed to find a tube of Olay total effects face wash hiding at the back of a shelf, this went through at 99p with the skincare voucher, pretty lucky find half an hour before the shop closed on the last day of the skincare vouchers - everything else under £7 was gone!
