That's right... just make sure you use the PAC within 30 days or the contract will continue until you request and use another PAC or until you cancel.0

Thank you, and I'll know the phone is unlocked by trying out the new sim?0
-
I would think so, yes.
And to reiterate ... the new SIM must be activated before your number can be ported across.0 -

Ok, so I will have to be without my old number for a day while it ports? That's fine, just didn't want to miss calls if I didn't have to!
#5 Add/edit the APN for Virgin's settings (so that mobile data and MMS work).
In the iphone settings, under carrier, it has an automatic setting for network selection, is that the section you mean?0 -
As Virgin is EE's MVNO, their sim will work even in a phone locked to EE and can't be used to test unlocking.
Good point. In the iphone settings, under carrier, it has an automatic setting for network selection, is that the section you mean?
No. That's just for selecting the network you connect to (EE, O2, Virgin etc.). You'll also need to create/edit the APN (Access Point Name) settings so that you can make a mobile data connection to Virgin's network. (i.e. so you can get internet on the go).

No, generally you might lose use for a very short while, incoming calls will get through to one of the phones as the port progresses.
Most ports complete in the morning of the day you choose (if you advise the new company of the PAC before 5pm the port normally happens the following morning (Mon-Fri).====0
