Southern Water direct debits

in Water bills
Does anyone else have problems with Southern Water wanting extortionate amounts by direct debit? I'm on a water meter and my last bill showed that I had underpaid by 59 pence. Southern Water were all set to increase my direct debit by £6 per month. I rang them up and they agreed to increase my direct debit by 40 pence a month. When I asked why the £6 per month increase the answer was that 'I might use more water in future'!
