Because the badge wasn't displayed when the attendant saw your car, you have got yourself in a bit of a mess. And the trouble with messes, is that they need cleaning uo and it's not always straightforward.
The NEWBIES sticky has all the information and searching this forumwill give you more help. There are timescales you need to follow with your appeal(s) and you need to understand that mitigation doesn't win, so don't even bother appealing to their better side - they don't have one.
If you can't cope with this, there are a group of regulars on here who will take the appeal on and guarantee you won't have to pay. Their fees are £16 and are 100% genuine. But pm me for how to get in touch with them if you want as there are unscrupulous outfits about.0 -

Pointing you at the thread that will likely solve all your problems is not in any way nasty.
And people purporting to take PPCs seriously is something many of us here find extremely unpleasant - for reasons that are well explained in the sticky and not least because of the frequency they stooge this forum to try and confuse people!0 -

Just follow the tried and tested templates to win this, you've done well to find the exact right forum in good time so you are more computer literate than loads of people!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As a fellow blue badge holder I can assure you do not need to pay, I will not go into why as it has all been covered before. Just follow the newbie thread, I know it can be upsetting as all you may have done was make an error ( notice the word may you will see it a lot in any letters you receive) private companies are not able to punish you for a mistake you may have made no matter what they tell you or threaten you with.:)0 -
susannicola - please be reassured by all the good people who have posted help for you here. By that, I mean every single person who has posted, because they are all correct and sound in what they are advising.
I was like you, c.18mths ago - hit twice by parking lie for resting in a motorway service area. Seen off thanks TOTALLY to the help from this Forum.
I haven't even bothered to post about another Apcoa Souuhwark Council one, because it too was done and dusted a fortnight ago. Had it proceeded further, i would have posted here at once.
Yes, you must read throgughly. Yes, you must settle, concentrate and faff about with copy/cut/paste - but isn't this the wonderful boon of the virtual world?
We CAN all DO IT:-)
You will too - and to strengthen your resolve, a not unknown 'technique' of some private parking scumpanies is to 'help' permits and tickets become dislodged.....
