Local facebook pages for your area buy/sell pages on there advertise it as free but have to take away. Local allotments some one is bound to want one there. I have a allotment and there always someone after one

Any way to get rid of that?

That looks like a floated concrete base and will need to be broken up, it probably goes at least twice as deep into the ground as it sits above it.

You could blow it up and sell it to the Tate Gallery...

To be serious, I am sure freecycle is the answer - even if no-one wants it as a shed they make great firewood!

Why do you want to get rid of the concrete? A concrete base can be handy - instant patio?

Argh, thanks for the opinion about the base - sounds like it might be staying. :(

Looks wise, would just prefer a boarder right there (we have a big patio and deck elsewhere) - well the continuation of the boarder. In fact, at some point a replacement shed would be good, just don't really want one there - which is effectively in the Middle of the back wall if the garden (would much rather tuck it at the side).

Will get on to free cycle.

Then make the new one a feature...:D

If we had the spare money, might have gone for a feature :)

I think that we will get rid of the existing shed, then see what happens over time. We are putting a big play frame up very close to where the shed is (it has a two level play house as part of it): so that part of the garden is doing to look busy. Maybe once the frame is up, it will make what to do with the slab more obvious. It is just in a bad position.

People will not only take slabs, they will BUY them if you offer them on gumtree. Seriously, people want stuff like this. I'm scanning the ads for some paving slabs myself at the moment!

If the shed is really worse for wear, then you won't need to be very strong at all to break it down. If its reasonably sturdy then someone will be interested if you advertise it.
That's really helpful information. We're going to have about 80 paving slabs that we'll need to get rid of in few months & wasn't sure how to get rid of them. Thanks.

We have just given away a shed that wasn't brilliant via our local free group on facebook. We just said for firewood or repair and it was taken straight away and to be patched up for use.
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

Someone paid us £130 to take our shed away. I listed it on Ebay and he drove all the way from Gretna to Leeds to pick it up with a trailer. The only work involved for me was making cups of tea for him and his mate while they took it to pieces, loaded it onto the trailer and handed over the cash. Job done!
