Meerkat Movies

Sorry if these questions have been asked many times before!
For a family of 2 adults and 2 children, would both adults need a Meerkat Movies code to get two free tickets?
Any reason why you can't buy 1 adult ticket to get the other adult ticket free and 1 child ticket to get the other child ticket free?
Can this be done online in one order using two codes or would it need to be two separate orders?

Just tried to redeem a code along with my unlimited card via the new cineworld website and now you get an error stating that 

You must select at least 2 tickets to redeem a Meerkat Movies code. 

So looks like this loophole now closed

edit - no, they have just changed something, you now have to select a second adult ticket and then enter the code. The old website let you just enter the code off the bat. SO all good

Look to have changed something yet again. Just tried to use a meerkat code with my unlimited card for a showing next Wednesday for Spiderman but getting an error stating 

Meerkat Movies codes can only be redeemed for a same-day purchase of a Tuesday or a Wednesday showtime."

Used to be able to book in advance with them, and worked last month for Ghostbusters Afterlife...

I've just bought a one day travel insurance for £1.01 and now have a year's Meerkat Rewards just in time for half term and take granddaughter to the cinema next week and then the Harvester after.  Happy Days!

Exactly, it costs less than a pint (dependant on your circumstances)

Trick still works. Got travel insurance for £1.01, also got £2 TCB and then 2for1 to go see Maverick 😁

Is the trick still working? Is meerkat limited to certain cinema chains only?

worked for me, you have to add an adult full price ticket along with the unlimited and then add the meerkat code which removes the full price ticket.
