my 2009 V50 horn is very loudThe horn in my 2008 V50 was pretty loud.
Is there a chance yours is faulty?
And therefore fitting a used one may be a decent solution
It usually depends on the car spec. The higher spec cars would usually come with dual tone horns, the lower spec with a crappy £1.50 single tone. This is a standard operating procedure amongst European car manufacturers.
Overall they both generate very similar dB, however, dual tone are much more perceptible due to both high and low frequency sound."Retail is for suckers"
