One issue you need to consider is that, for multi room, you need to keep both boxes connected to the same telephone line. This is to prevent you and your neighbour agreeing to share a sky account with one box each. So as well as sky cabling and a power point, you also need a telephone socket near the sky boxes. We used the wireless plug to phone connector kit.

    Absolutely wrong

This stopped in December 2013 -there is no requirement to connect any boxes to the phoneline any more.

There was a recent offer for a free 2nd box if you were taking out multiroom. Ring Sky and see if it is still on offer.

I specifically asked the question about whether the connection could be on an internal wall. I was very specific, explaining that the wall was NOT an external wall, but was an internal wall 'between' two bedrooms. The support rep had to go and check with a manager but came back and confirmed it WOULD be done as I requested.

You need to define what you mean by "the connection could be on an internal wall". What Sky mean is that the installer will tack the cable round the skirting board and leave the cable end dangling there. Don't imagine that the installer will fit a socket on/in the wall!

Yes, but the box will only show Free-To-Air channels unless you also reactivate the Sky Multi-room subscription.
