Help

I have £20,000 now spread over 3 cards but the majority is on one whose interest has gone sky high after reaching an interest free period.. I cant make it am starting a new business and cant remortgage and of low income after losing my partner and mother.. can anyone help me.. had a meeting with cap but they want to take over my whole life financially and leave me with no credit score

    Unfortunately the only way to maintain your credit score fully is to find a way to pay 1p over the minimum amount each month but presumably this isnt affordable.

    I am not a fan of the CAB even if they do mean well. Have you approached one of the debt charities like Step Change?

    Realistically though you are going to have to be in default before any bank will really negotiate and paying anything less than full will almost certainly be reflected in your files again.

    Give Step Change or National Debtline a call. They will be able to let you know your best options. All I can say is good luck!

    As above, but also get yourself posted on the debt-free wannabees board, as I think this is more of an appropriate place for good advice given your situation.
