I seem to be in the minority, I really like the new look.

Trying to get back into being old style, been thinking hard about what new habits I can incorporate into my day to achieve a more balanced way of living, together with saving money. Will be looking back at old threads for inspiration.

Need to get on with tidying up the sitting room, will be back soon,

    Take care all.

    Afternoon all,

fortunately I only had a glimpse of the new look before I logged in. Its back to normal now. I was asked to test and try the new version before it went 'live'. I hated it then and I hate it now.

Well I was an idiot this morning. It looked warm and sunny from inside the house so I went to visit Mom without my coat. Fortunately I was wearing warm clothes but I was still rather cold. Still, the walk back up that hill warmed me up.

Mom is well, healthy and just had a bath. I am finding things to chat to her about hard to find. Her long term memory is good but short term, she cant even remember her name. Communication has always been difficult but seemed impossible today. She cant talk to me, I haven't really got anything to say that she'd want to hear. She's forgotten my kids, didn't like hubby and she doesn't know who he is anyway. I am beginning to think an hour and a half of not knowing what to say or do is a bit much so I'm going to cut down the time I'm there. I don't want to but it was 'painful' today.

Not done anything in the house today and I don't intend to anyway. With only two of us in the house and one at work all day theres not much for me to do. Theres only the dog hairs but they can wait till tomorrow.

My onwards and forwards can wait till tomorrow.

hope your all having a great day.

    Hello all,

Haven't been around here for a while and hope everyone is well. Had a few things happen. My DS2 wrote my car off so I have had to accelerate my looking for a new one. It's mucked him up a bit (all his fault) as I was waiting to give him my car in July when the insurance was due for renewal. He sure as heck won't be on the new policy.

DD's Wedding is less than eight weeks and I am starting to panic mildly over shoes (I have fat feet), I am hoping to get to some different shops over the Easter holidays otherwise I shall be like Cinderella's ugly sisters trying to wear ill fitting shoes!

Anyway spag bol for dinner tonight :)

I think its 6 weeks to my daughters wedding but I think ive found the dress. Ive yet to try it on yet though. I don't have a problem with shoes but since I don't have a waist to speak of I struggle to find anything to fit..... of course all this wouldn't be such a problem if I was stretched.:rotfl:Since the diet has gone kaput I think a good stretching is the best option I can think of. Ive just got to make my mind up.... baby blue, mint green or silver cause those are the colours the outfit comes in. I could play safe and go with silver (its closer to black than any of the other colours and it'll match the colour of my hair :D). I'm hoping to fund it through the cost of my ShopandScan vouchers and ive got £130 saved so far.

  • We had a hail storm this morning when we were on our way back from B&Q, got some more bits for the bathroom. Only the tiles and flooring left to get now, thank goodness.
Still can't find any tiles that we actually like though, but we are agreed on the flooring. Bathrooms are one of those things that you have to get right especially as you have to live with the decor for a decade or more, so it is not something that you want to rush.

I have not been feeling too well over the last couple of days and to top it all my neck and shoulder have seized up and the pain has kept me awake every night.

    Damn arthritis and diabetes :(:(:(

Topsy, thinking of you ((((Hugs)))) xxx

Elona, I hope that DD is going to be ok ((((Hugs))))xxx

DH will be home soon so I had better put him some dinner on, freezer roulette tonight, because I don't have any appetite I don't want to cook :(

    BFN xx

TravellingA - I hope all went well for you in Oncology today. I don't miss going there at all. My mum spent some time there and I hated every single moment of it. It was a massive reality check when you think you are having a crap day. Sadly I lost mum in 2004, but to be honest i never want to see that department ever again!

Gers - the morning sun rises have been beautiful these last couple of days. I still have to sometimes go back down south to Northants for the odd funeral, wedding, birthday etc but I don't miss it at all and I am always glad to come home to Northumberland. Don't know what it is about that central belt of Scotland but it always seems baltic!

Forum has gone back to normal - I did not like it one iota :T
