    Hi everyone,

It looks lovely outside today - we have a dwarf rhododendron which is in flower at the moment and it's beautiful. We've had it for well over 20 years and it just sits in it's pot with no attention, usually the blossoms are destroyed by frost but this year it's spectacular and is making me very happy every time I look at it.

I've decided I really must get a grip on my weight - DS came over and used our scales at the weekend and at 6'6 he is lighter than me so I am using that as incentive, together with DD's wedding in September.

I've got a hairdresser apt at lunchtime and will go grocery shopping - I have a w**trose voucher to spend.

Dumpling, I hope your outing goes well.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Good Morning everyone, it's a lovely sunny day here but we too are forecast showers possibly with thunder and hail so Docky will be very unhappy if we catch one. It's lovely to be home again and back in harness, I've a pan of carrot and celeriac soup on the stove, my sprouted alphalpha is ready to harvest and more is in soak for another batch and some eggs are boiling for sandwiches to go with it so that's lunches sorted for the next few days. I'll get all the laundry done today as well and just give the house a once over, He Who Knows does his best when I'm away Bless him but he's not terribly good at housework so it's a bit dusty and needs a sort out. DD1 finishes for the term tomorrow and is super busy sorting out all the odds that need doing before then, GERS what a wonderful feeling it must be for you pet to know you never have to go back again, she'd love to be there too!

Have yourselves a good day and stay dry if you can, Lyn xxx.

Good Morning chums bit damp and 'mizzly' looking as my late Oh would have said.he was a 'caulkhead' from the Isle of Wight and its an expression my late ma-in-law used :)

I am off out to lunch at a local pub today with the U3A luncheon club and then tonight I am out again at Quiz night (proper little social butterfly today :):):))

DGS Ben is home from Uni and bless him will walk the dogs for his Mum today instead of me rushing round to let them out.

My youngest DD is doing a charity walk this Saturday for a little girl locally who is very poorly and needs specialised treatment .There are going to be 64 walkers traipsing from Rainham to Rochester about 6 miles so if you see any of them give them a wave and if possible a coin in their bucket. My DDs usual walk is from home to car, and yet she has been training for this for 3 months so I am soo proud of her as its something she's never done before.
At the moment she has blisters on her feet as she trains virtually every night with her two dogs, no matter what the weather. But she says 'Mum my sore feet are nothing to what the little girl and her family are going through Bless her.

I shall be at the other end with a big bag of doughnuts and a drink when she makes it on Saturday afternoon.A very proud Mum and grandma (probably take the boys to see their Mum come in ):):)
Right time I got a wriggle on,time flies and so must I
have a great day everyone what ever you are doing ,looks a bit wet outside atm
    :)
    Cheers chums JackieO xxx

Good Luck at St. James's this morning and sounds as if you are well prepared for the visit.

You must be so proud of your daughter (of all the family in fact).

Made DH and me some breakfast and waiting for a visit from the hospital for DD who is is not very well right now and really needs some help.

If crying solved anything then lots of things would have been fixed over the last day or so. Need to mop up the tears and kick myself up the rather large posterior and do what I can.

    Hugs to all

You all seem to have so much to cope with at the moment

    Much love

  • (((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Morning, just back from Tesco for type pressure checking, fuel and a quick trip to get the things I cannot get at ormrisons or Aldi.

Will be doing my big Aldi shop either Sunday or Tuesday next week.

Towels on the line, it looks a bit threatening so might have to fetch them in and finish them off in the dryer.

It is beyond horrible. It hurts my eyes too and feels really unfriendly
    and somehow spikey and harsh.
