How forgetful of me: Igor and Hubert are staging a performance of 'Romeo and Juliet' in honour of The Bard's birthday.Yes,you heard right.Igor fancies himself as [STRIKE]Leonardo[STRIKE][/STRIKE][/STRIKE] Romeo (short, squat, lovelorn and in tights) and Hubert of course has the best figure for a pretty frock, and,I hasten to add,has very long lashes to flutter at [STRIKE]her[STRIKE][/STRIKE][/STRIKE] his suitor.
There is a dress rehearsal on the morrow, when the sun is overhead and castes no shadow. So please, fellow luvvies,be on time,as we do not need any more histrionics from our am-dram director.
Sorry, what do you mean, the director has scarpered.
Oh,fiddlesticks.Can anyone fill in please?0 -

Now Swedish Chef, that really is most sweet of you to offer, but (and please don't take offence at this) your not inconsiderable skills in the kitchen would be sorely missed by all,if you were to direct your energies and your beloved bazookie elsewhere. There's a good chap.Go and have a seat and I'll pour you a nightcap.
Phew, that was close! Can you imagine him directing?:eek:
The mind boggles.0 -
Yes, Hubert, I know that "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" is a bit far fetched when Igor is rehearsing in his second best Sunday combinations that last got a full boil wash on New Year's Day 2011, but I promise you that Mistress of the Wardrobe knitwitch will be kitting him out with a brand new knitted costume, and the NSD gang will grab him and chuck him in a hot bath with a good going over with carbolic soap and a Brillo pad before the show. So, for now, just rehearse with a peg on your nose. Anybody got a giant clothes peg?
Ah, here is Nursie....just a minute, where in the script does it say Juliet' s nurse has a bushy grey moustache?
Swedish Chef! Get thee to the scullery! There is an Easter Chocfest banquet to prepare for........honestly, darlings, everybody wants to be an ac- torr! One life - your life - live it!0 -
What,no Easter eggs?
Yay,look who's here! :j
Ok,so Mr Bugs Bunny is going to direct 'Romeo and Juliet'...should be interesting. He doesn't exactly mince his words. :rotfl::rotfl:
Cheffie, get out of that dress and get back to the kitchen. That lunch isn't going to prepare itself.
Please Bugs Bunny, whatever you do,don't use the word 'nimrod' in front of Cheffie,no matter how well intentioned. You'll give him ideas. :eek:0 -
Nargle I see that you've updated your sig.No long to go to being DF! :j:j
scotmum glad that you're enjoying your new toy.
Penguin86 wow, you've been busy.Maybe today you can just relax?
Knit Witch doing well I see.
Please hurry up with with Igor new unmentionables. His current ones have got more holes than Swiss cheese, and frankly,I don't know where to look.
I'm already declaring #4 for today,just so as I'm not tempted by anything.0 -

Yesterday was a spend day - two bags of mini gingerbread men for taking away with OH's niece/my GDs later in the year (long enough date, and last day I could claim cashback on them), a pack of Pain aux Raisin for supper (instead of hot cross buns that I'm not bothering with this year), and a DVD collection (all 4 Christoper Reeve Superman films - hit a new all time low price on Amaz0n, and it was a long while since they'd been that low).Cheryl0
