Plusnet woes.

Hey guys!
I signed up to Plusnet about a month ago and they have set two dates so far to install the broadband and have failed to do so both times. This has wasted some of my very limited time off work and !!!!ed me off greatly.
They now even need a new MAC before they will even set another appointment.
I've enquired about cancelling and they are claiming that if I do then they get to keep my paid up front line rental.
Is that legit?

The work is done BT OR, not Plusnet, so is not under their control-OR are notorious for no-shows. PS: broadband is self-install, are you waiting for a new line provision? If you already have a line, you simply need to connect the router and set it up once your service has gone live. No engineer required. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I think an engineer is required because I'm moving from copper to fibre. That's what they tell me anyway.
To be fair it's completely their fault that BT OR didn't show up as they didn't bother to confirm the appointment with them.Savings goal for 2015!£8,487.85/£3,600 - 2014

Have you posted on the plusnet community forums about this? You'll probably get far more help there.0 -

If you kick up a big enough fuss on their community forum and want to cancel there's a chance the LRS remainder will be refunded. Some have managed it, including me. In spite of my problem I'm still with them because it was sorted out to a mutually agreeable conclusion. However, the PN forum staff are good and helpful.
You will get the "it's all BT Openreach's fault" from the fan club there but ignore them.0
