  • Oh - have just Googled, is THIS the link? If so, this DailyMail article is about ONE woman's experience of applying Nivea to half her face and Creme De La Mer on the other, for a month. While interesting, you can't categorically conclude that Nivea performs better than Creme De La Mer on the basis of one woman's experience.

They would need to do a far bigger survey before they can make a firm statement that one moisturiser is 'better' than another.

There was other stuff done, dermatologists looked at it and the ingredients/formula of each was looked into and compared too

To add to that. The only difference in ingredients and formula between the nivea and the creme de la mer are that the creme de la mer has seaweed extract (not worth the money) and antioxidants, antioxidants that weaken every time they are exposed to air and the moisturiser comes in a pot so not really worth it

I'm probably going to be shot down in flames for this suggestion, as it is not at all cheap! But I really like the Rodial range, particularly either the Glamtox of the Dragon's Blood range. I first tried them as a tester for Beauty Bible, and was so impressed I have continued to use them. They really suit my skin.

It is possible to pick up trial sized sets to try them out, and also a lot of places have good offers every now and then - I never buy them full price. They last for ages though, really excellent coverage.

The Rodial advertising is over the top by the way, so ignore that!

So that's it - my guilty secret of expensive face cream is now out......

    Save your money.

Use it to eat more fruit and veg, and have water instead of tea/coffee.

    Avoid bright sunlight.
