silly question but is Spam the same as Junk?

Yes, outlook uses junk instead of spam.

What a shame. We give them enough info, wonder why they couldn't have written? I check my spam & junk regularly.

I think someone at itv messed up by sending e-mails for this competition in the first place as that gave an advantage to free web entries over paid text/phone ones - normally they phone the number of times indicated in the T&C's and then move on.

Maybe they did? If the winner didn't answer maybe they then tried emailing.

I'd be more concerned about them offering it to a second person after the first missed the deadline - what would have happened has the 2nd seen the email within the week it was sent? Would ITV just say "Oops, sorry!"?
    Thanks to all posters :A

Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments...

No luck from ITV - I think I may have to put this down to me being a silly a*se and just hope that a bigger win is on the horizon soon...

I may not be £20,000 richer (yet)... but the good news is - my mum came out of hospital yesterday and is doing well after major heart surgery... so there is nothing more awesome than that!

Thanks again you lovely people and good luck to you all with your comping!

Great news about your mum, Tarfy! Hope she makes a complete and full recovery!

Can I just ask, what email addresses do people receive winning itv emails from? I've just checked my email on the offchance that itv have maybe emailed me to let me know I've just won (no such luck:D) and realised I have loads of itv spammy type emails. Is there any way to filter out the rubbish and alert oneself to a 'real' winning email (that I know they're dying to send me ...fingers crossed:D)?? Thanks in advance :T
:D if you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.

I wouldn't worry about it, this particular competition is possibly the only one they have emailed about and almost all of their premium rate competitions no longer have web entry so they can only phone or text the potential winners.

Just wanted to let you know I'd emailed them when I read your initial post in the hope they might choose to give you *something*.

Not looking promising. They sent an email today which has done nowt but wind me up (for one, they suggested the email you received was a spam one and said they had no record of emailing and excluding a potential winner).

I'm actually putting it down to incompetence on their part and wonder if they emailed two in error and both went into people's spam - the other person found theirs, unfortunately you didn't.

Grrrr, sorry, tried my best to help! What muppets...

Thank you SO much for doing that. That is so nice of you. I contacted them by email and they said the same about me having recieved a spam email.. but I think that was pretty strange considering the email contained my exact mobile telephone number that I provided to enter the competition. I'm totally cool though, it obviously wasn't meant to be - but thank you again for trying on my behalf:beer:
