Just got off the phone with Tesco Broadband and have been told that Tesco BB have sold out to TalkTalk. Tesco BB will stop trading in Sept 2015 and all accounts will go over to TalkTalk.

My deal with Tesco BB stops this month and another £6 a month has been lumped on top. I asked to negotiate new deal but was told I will have to change my phone number if I change to Talk Talk now but if I wait till September when all accounts are transferred over, my phone number will stay the same and I can then negotiate a new deal.

So I will be paying £36 for the honour of staying with Tesco till September just so I can keep my number. Thought others might be interested..

This was announced a few months ago, transfers have already commenced. So, if you are now out of minimum term, you can move elsewhere if you don't wish to go with TT.
If your exchange is non-LLU for TT, this may explain the hike in price.

....if it is non LLU then TT will "sell" you on to Fleur Telecom.:(
