    I think you're really likely to struggle with this without the receipt. You will almost certainly need an expert's report on the sofa anyway after this length of time, and you'll probably need to think whether paying for that will be throwing good money after bad.

    The CC company will not be helpful - they will end up bearing all the loss if you make a successful claim.

    I really wish people would start their own threads if they are wanting consumer help.

    I agree - I ignored the hijack between posts 7 and 11 and was responding to the OP. I have reported post 7 and asked the mod to move post 7 to 11 to new thread

    I wasn't hijacking anyone just didn't realise that I had to start a new post and thought this was general section 75 stuff. Sorry I don't live my life on here so unsure of the rules. :(. Thanks to the kind people who have helped me though :)
