...but weeks go by without a notice of intended prosecution.

You call up the police and they confirm they have nothing on the computer...

How do you celebrate?? as far as I'm aware, I'm £100 up now cos I was dead cert I'd have to pay and get 3 points. But now I'm :D
By the laws and powers of some of the perfect members of the forum
you should at very least write to the police in triplicate informing them of your gross misconduct and beg, no demand, that they prosecute you. Failing that you must beat yourself 1000 times with some rusty barbed wire whilst chanting 'speed kills.'

Sometimes I can't believe this forum is for real. You've got:
Criminals saying I committed a crime and wasn't caught - yipee.
Criminals saying I was caught committing a crime - how can I avoid punishment.
People saying help my relative has committed a crime - can they escape punishment.
Criminals inciting others to commit the same crime.
    Surely it can't be legal.

Can you provide a source for that statistic?

I've seen a WHO report of 1.2 million road deaths worldwide, but no analysis of the causes.

Well they haven't died as a result of good driving, so Fred's not wrong.

I got flashed 3 times (and once I was very fast - stupid me) with my scooter and I haven't received anything.

Are there a few fake camera around maybe?

"very fast" - "scooter" - Don't think so.

People with points for speeding have proven they are incapable of driving properly. They should be installing black boxes in the cars of these people so their speed can be monitored. We need to get these anti-social idiots off the road.

I ride my bike sometimes at what many would say are ridiculous speeds, but I regard myself as a good rider/driver, speeding has nothing to do with capability of driving, unless you don't know you're speeding, which I do.

I still think that more than 50% of the things don't actually have cameras in them.

See my earlier post - 6 out of 21 in the North-East of Scotland.
