No, I hope it does go.
Santander changed Abbey, what was the benefit of that.:D
If they re-name, its a stronger brand. If I was them I would rename TSB to Sabadell TSB perhaps.0 -

I can't quite follow your logic. What benefit will shareholders and/or customers get from a name change? Do you appreciate the enormous cost that even a slight change of name would incur? Where is the business case? In £££, please.
Santander was an entirely different matter, for literally dozens of reasons.0 -
There is no intention to change the nameSabadell intends to continue to operate TSB as a robust competitor in the UK banking market, building on the TSB brand name.

Well of course there would be a cost, but I don't understand how Santander was any different in terms of the re-brand.
There is not really any benefit to customers when a business re-brands most of the time.0 -

I would never rule it out, they might do it in five years time.
But as this link suggests it won't be any time soon by the looks of it, but I'm quite sure it will happen.0 -
I wonder, did Sabadell borrow from ECB, at 0.1% or something like it, under QE, and has nothing to spend it on?
Lend it to me, I'll buy Lamborghinis and Ferraris, spend it on Petrus at £2,000 a bottle, and beautiful women in the Eurozone. That's how you circulate the money in the Eurozone. How is buying TSB in the UK going to help the European economy?0 -
I have just moved to TSB from Natwest. Would not have bothered if I had known about this.0
