Hi,

I can see that there's a price war at the moment but am confused with the different offers available. Is there anyone in the know who can briefly outline the best offers?

(I'm a low user - I probably spend about £20-£30 a year on my current Tesco Mobile! A recent trip to Ireland cost me about £10 tho so it'll probably be more now.)

i'm on tesco mobile, with your 3 favourite no's plus the balance update system i would stay put. You could go on c.p.w's 'fresh' network but the offer ends in june, same as easy mobile.( both normally 15p.calls 5p texts)

both these use t mobile so not as good coverage as tesco,(o2) plus both their balance update systems are awful

you could play crafty and register 18866,as one of your favourite numbers

What do you mean by balance update system? I know Tesco send you a msg after every call - very nice. What makes EM bad?

I don't think jon_r was saying their (Tesco Mobile/o2) balance update system was bad. I think he was referring to the fact that both EasyMobile and Fresh don't operate real-time billing. That is you can top-up by £20 and make a few calls and not know how much credit you have left unless you rung them.

sorry, yes i should have read through my post again! tiny tiger & bbb you are both correct. Easy mobile only send you a text at £10 & £5 & 0 balance. though you can check on line.fresh you dial a freephone number... the balance is confusing IF it is working!Tesco do send a msg after every call, finally 18866 is accessed via an 0207 number, (not the 0808 number) on payg, check website for details.0808 are charged heavily on most payg phones
