3 days in Barcelona

Options
Hi guys,

This summer I am going around Europe for a month.

I am flying to Barcelona for my 1st stop and I am spending 3 days there. My hostel is booked in the city centre.

Any recommendations on what I can do there?

I'm a typical 23 year old lad, and don't really want to be stuck in museums all day.

Thanks

Nou Camp, Maremagum, La Boqueria, La Rambla. Check out the Gothic Quarter. If you can meet some people check out the bars/clubs at Port Olimpic (Shoko/Pacha etc).

As Ady has recommended, but also be very careful round the bottom of the Rambla, lots of distractions and pickpockets, maybe more than most major cities, just be sensible and be aware of who is around you.

A really good train and cheap bus service from the airport to the city centre, and a lovely city for walking and taking in the sights

When you land in Barcelona, buy a T10 card from the Renfe machine at the airport train station. This gets you 10 trips by train, underground, bus or tram anywhere within zone 1 for 9.95 Euros.

Barcelona has great beaches, so you can head there for a game of volleyball, etc, then of to the bars in the Gothic Quarter.

I understand you don't want to be stuck in museums but you really should look at some of the Gaudi buildings especially Sagrada Familia. Also I'd go to El Corte Ingles (sort of Spanish John Lewis) as it has fantastic views from the restaurant. The meals used to be really good although recent reviews not so. Still worth it for a coffee and a view and perhaps look at the menu while you're there.

Try the free walking tours, we've been on two.
You see lots of stuff and meet people from different countries who all speak english, if you book the english tour of course.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

Good suggestion... be sure to bring a pen and notebook, since you get lots of information and tips about things to see and do later.

And note that the guides are not paid but rely on tips, so be prepared to give a sensible amount.

    Hi guys,

So far this is my itinerary

    Day1

Fly to Barcelona > Arrive at 4:10pm

Check into hostel > have a wonder round and get some food. Not sure where to go?

    Day 2

    La Sagrada Familia

    Ramblas

    Tour of Camp Nou

    Gothic Quarter

Is that enough for the day?

Back to the hostel, grab some food on the way.

Hopefully make some friends at the hostel and visit some bars / clubs in the evening

    Day 3

Not sure? What do you recommend?

    Day 4

I travel to Italy via train

You've packed a lot into day 2. I'd go to Parc Guell on day 3 then afternoon on the beach.
