    public note like

"free car spares , bring your own tools (coffee provided free)"

    that "might" work

  • If a scrapyard would take them without Logbook trust our luck someone would come back and charge us!

Post a list of what you've got, I'm sure you'll find someone on MSE willing to take them off your hands!

Enfield Freddy - I bet that would flush out the nasty person who has taken advantage of us.

The trouble is I just hate this feeling that someone will charge us for not looking after their property! You hear how these people can start spouting their rights! Well we have not been asked they broke padlock and something must have upset their plans.

BeenThroughItAll - it keeps me awake worrying about them thinking if they are gone will the 'owner' turn up and give us a bill? Mind you if they were stolen I couldn't do anything about it - no money has passed hands to keep them in a secure 'pound'.

Found this site - have any of you used it?

TWOC - you can check for stolen vehicles.

have you got a local police officer , a decent one?

some do like to drink coffee , maybe a word and a cuppa , instead of ringing a police "can,t do anything DPA" person.

ask him/her for advice , regarding moving them off your land , hell he/she might even put some cones out for the counsil

TWOC , is the lesser term for stealing cars , to be arrested for this , you have to be arrested whilst driving the car , at which point the car is recovered , therefore not stolen

    The Duty
26 Where it appears to a local authority
that a vehicle in its area is abandoned,
it will be its duty to remove the vehicle.
This duty applies to all land in the
open air or any land forming part of
a highway. However, in respect of such
vehicles that are not on the carriageway,
this duty does not apply where the costs of
removing them to the nearest convenient
    carriageway is unreasonably high.

who wrote that ? a 5 yr old child?

"Those who have lawful authority and in fact a duty to remove vehicles from roads or other land include the police, local authorities, traffic wardens, parking attendants and civil enforcement officers.

an offence that was made illegal with the introduction of the POFA in 2012, prior to this he had to be SIA approved.

  • I would do as previously suggested, push or have them towed onto a pubic road and place them where they wont be a hazard for other road users then its the councils problem to have them removed.

Other than that you could invite a local scrap yard to make them disappear over night.

Are we talking about old banger cars or recent models?

Surely that would risk the council coming after you for fly tipping
